The CSDMB and E-Academy are gaining STEAM in the spring!

Advance Class Starting at the Center for the Study and Development of Minority Businesses

May 15th, 2006

Advanced entrepreneurial classes are beginning for the spring semester. The class will run four weeks, and focus in on the next steps established business owners need to take to ensure themselves success in the current economy. All classes will be held at Nordonia Hills Branch Library in Northfield, Ohio and will run from 6:00PM to 8:00PM. Individuals that have graduated from the CSDMB as well as the E-Academy are eligible; the class schedule is as follows:

Tuesday, May 16th – Orientation & Development of the Business Plan: Modifications and Updates

Tuesday, May 23rd – The Impact of Technology on Black Businesses and the Digital Divide

Thursday, June 1st – Grant Writing Seminar for Non-Profit Businesses

Thursday, June 8th – Entrepreneurial Leadership and Effective Strategies

We welcome all applicants, as long as they have passed the intensive class in either the CSDMB or the E-Academy. Enrollment is $25.00, and that will cover the cost of class materials.

Intensive Class Starting at the E-Academy

The Entrepreneurial Academy (E-Academy) is getting ready for the next set of Business Training Workshops, which will start in just a few weeks. The classes will run from 6:00PM to 9:00PM, and we are now accepting applications to be in the class. If you are interested, please come to our offices on 540 East 105th Street, Suite 250 in Cleveland, Ohio with: copy of a photo ID (Driver’s License or State photo ID), copy of a recent piece of a mail (to verify address), and a copy of a high school diploma, GED, or college certificate. Our hours are 9:00-5:00PM on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

The Entrepreneurial Academy on Village Television

Owing to strong ratings for previous television events, the Entrepreneurial Academy is showing two of its specials on The Village Television this week. These two specials, “The Entrepreneurial Academy Success Stories” and “The Entrepreneurial Academy Hosts the Cleveland Council of World Affairs”, are slated to show on The Village Television Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday of this week. The television shows are each a half-hour a piece, and will be shown back to back (in order) in hour blocks. The shows air during prime time: 9:00-10:00 on Monday, 10:00-11:00 on Wednesday, and 8:00-9:00 on Thursday.

Individuals that wish to watch the episodes can tune in to Channel 20 on Adelphia Cable in the Cleveland area.
